At CIL, we are passionate about building a successful team of people from a wide range of personal and professional backgrounds. Helping our clients grow requires creative thinking and fresh perspectives. To deliver this we need a diverse workforce of exceptional individuals.
Led by our diversity and inclusion team, CIL aims to foster an inclusive work environment where everyone has the opportunity and support needed to develop and progress in their careers. Our activities in this area are constantly evolving and cover training, networking and outreach to underrepresented groups.
“A focus on diversity and inclusion not only makes us a more interesting and enjoyable company to work for, it also makes us a more effective partner for our clients as they look to drive growth and build value in a complex and diverse world.”
Tabitha Elwes, diversity and inclusion lead
D&I insight days
Each year we host a range of LGBTQ+, Ethnic Minority and Women in Consulting insight sessions for applicants to hear from individuals at all levels of the company about what it is like to work in management consulting and at CIL. We provide help on CVs and cover letters and run a case study and interview workshop.
“The women in consulting day allowed me to talk to women who work at CIL and get their honest opinions on their experience of the sector and the company. It was great to meet women at all stages of their careers and hear about how CIL tries to ensure it is a great company for women to work for.”
CIL is proud to support UpReach, a charity focused on boosting social mobility. In our role as employer partner we provide insight days, mentorship, work experience, internship and job opportunities to talented and highly driven university students from less-advantaged backgrounds.
CIL regularly runs leadership seminars with people from diverse backgrounds for employees to meet and hear about the experiences of those in senior positions in their field, and prompt discussion about diversity and inclusion topics. Past speakers include speakers from Graphite Capital, Livingbridge, M&S and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development.
CIL also work with expert organizations to run a range of training programs, these include sessions on building the confidence of women in the workplace and unconscious bias training.
