David Moody

David is a Senior Advisor to CIL’s Built Environment practice. He brings deep industry knowledge and decades of hands-on experience in building materials and HVAC distribution across Europe and North America.

David began his career as a management consultant at PwC before spending 20 years at Wolseley plc (now Ferguson), where he served as Marketing Director. During his time there, he delivered both organic and acquisitive growth, operating across HVAC and heavy-side materials distribution. He maintains active links with distributors and manufacturers across many subsectors of residential and non-residential construction.

David holds a BA (Hons) in Economics and an MBA. He is also a regular speaker at European building materials conferences.
