Our values

As a company, integrity is at the centre of our processes and our culture. We are committed to operating to the highest possible ethical standards and improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking throughout our organisation and in our supply chain.

We expect all organisations who supply services to us to adhere to the principles of the Modern Slavery Act and operate to the same ethical standards as our company.

Our supply chain

As a professional advisory firm, we do not have a large or complex supply chain, and have determined that the overall risk of modern slavery in our business and in our supply chain is low. Our suppliers are typically well-established service providers such as information services companies, insurers and lawyers. Other suppliers that we engage with are mainly related to administrative products and services such as landlords, recruitment agencies, cleaners, office equipment suppliers, and providers of IT equipment and services.

Where we use suppliers that provide on-site services (e.g. cleaners), we only work with businesses that apply the Living Wage to their staff. We also expect all our suppliers, regardless of their size, to have a working knowledge of the Modern Slavery Act and to ensure their staff, particularly those involved in engaging staff or procuring services both in the UK and overseas, are aware of its impact.

We will not work with any supplier that has been found to have been knowingly involved in either human trafficking or modern slavery, and acknowledge the importance of reviewing our policies and remaining alert to this risk in our business.

This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes CIL’s modern slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 30 June 2022.
