Jim McDonnell

Jim is a Partner at CIL and is responsible for the firm’s operations in the DACH region. He has more than 30 years’ experience as a strategy consultant, supporting multinational corporates and private equity firms across industries and international markets.

Before joining CIL, Jim spent six years in Munich leading OC&C’s DACH operations. His consulting career also includes senior roles at BCG and Kearney.

As part of CIL’s global Consumer practice, Jim has particular expertise in the international agri-food sector. He has worked across the agriculture, raw materials and ingredients, and food production value chains, advising on strategy, transactions, and sustainability.

Jim holds an MBA in Strategy and Economics from Northwestern University and a BA in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.
