David Hunt joins CIL’s Data, Analytics & Artificial Intelligence practice as a senior leader, enhancing the firm’s digital, data and value-creation capabilities.

Management consultancy, CIL has strengthened its Data, Analytics & Artificial Intelligence practice with a new senior appointment to help the team expand its value creation, digital due diligence, and business analytics offerings. David Hunt joins the team as Associate Director.
In response to the evolving business and M&A landscape, David’s appointment will help the team build on its value creation, data and analytics advisory capability, as increasing numbers of businesses look to digitize their business propositions. He brings with him a wealth of experience across data strategy, Management Information (MI) & reporting, and analytics consulting, joining CIL from data and analytics firm JMAN.
CIL’s digital due diligence service has seen growing interest from clients and offers deep analysis across critical areas including digital capability and performance, customer engagement and data maturity. The service helps inform investors on a company’s digital capabilities, and how future-proofed and resilient it is. It also offers advice for those organizations looking to re-evaluate their own digital strategies.

Commenting on this appointment, Hunt said: “We’re seeing increasing numbers of organizations pivot their business models to become more analytics-focused. It is an exciting time to join CIL and build on the firm’s expertise in this field, helping our clients build their data maturity and create value through analytics in such a competitive marketplace.
“The business landscape continues to change very rapidly. We’re in an age of enormous potential and analytics growth doesn’t need to mean long lead times to value and big investment. Value can be delivered rapidly for businesses by focusing on high impact use cases and delivering analytics insight incrementally. Innovative analytics can help improve location planning, proactive customer management, and offer greater control over performance drivers.
“There are huge opportunities for investors right now and CIL is well-placed to offer the in-depth insights they need to make informed decisions. We have a team of exceptionally talented data scientists who excel at providing the latest analytical techniques and translating them into clear, actionable insights for our clients. I’m delighted to now be part of the team.”

Giles Johnson, managing partner at CIL said: “Data and a digital business proposition have become key business assets and significantly impact the value of a business to investors.
“David is a very welcome addition to our advanced analytics practice as we look to enhance our strategy consulting services. His experience will enable us to advise the increasing numbers of our clients who are now looking for opportunities and advice in this field.”
