CIL strengthens healthcare practice with a senior promotion and a new appointment
Strengthened by a senior promotion and new appointment, CIL’s Healthcare practice is poised to accelerate growth across healthcare, social care and life sciences.

Following a year of substantial growth, management consultancy CIL has invested in its healthcare practice with the promotion of James Silk to Partner and the appointment of Craig Abrahams as Associate Director.
Last year, CIL worked with many leading healthcare private equity investors and businesses, supporting them on mandates across healthcare, social care, and life sciences. Looking to build on the team’s success, Silk’s promotion to Partner will see him focus on leveraging the firm’s experience across both transactional and non-transactional landscapes. Recent engagements he has led include buy-side CDD on Frontier Medical for Agilitas Private Equity, and sell-side CDD engagements on Medequip and AJM Healthcare.
Commenting on his promotion, Silk said: “I plan to build on the success of the healthcare team and continue to deepen our experience across the various sectors we focus on - healthcare, social care, and life sciences, both through existing and new clients. I also look forward to strengthening the collaboration with CIL’s other sector teams and international, as well as increasingly leveraging our advanced analytics capability.”

CIL’s healthcare practice has also been bolstered with the appointment of Craig Abrahams as Associate Director. Abrahams joins CIL from Welbeck Health Partners, where he worked as Commercial Director. He brings a wealth of experience to his new role, having also worked for Bupa’s Health Insurance business.
Giles Johnson, Managing Partner at CIL, said: “The healthcare sector continues to navigate challenging times, but despite this, our team continues to go from strength to strength. James Silk’s promotion is testament to his hard work since he joined us, and Craig Abrahams’ appointment will allow us to continue to support healthcare providers looking to grow and succeed in this sector.”
This promotion and new appointment support CIL’s growth in the sector and will underpin its position as a leading healthcare advisor.
