We have a longstanding relationship with the charity Firefly International. Firefly supports locally-led artistic and educational projects in Bosnia and the Middle East that create safe, supportive and inclusive spaces for young people to grow, learn, and thrive.

We have supported Firefly since 2009 by helping with administrative support, office space, fundraising and sponsorship.

CIL is a rapidly growing company. While this makes it a dynamic and fascinating workplace, it also means our environmental footprint is growing.

We are continually working to improve our supply chain and to minimize the footprint of our office spaces. Recent small initiatives include encouraging the reduction of single-use plastics, e.g. by allowing each employee to expense the cost of a reusable coffee cup.

CIL is delighted to support Ignite, a non-profit organization supporting vulnerable young adults, aged 14-26, in the Chicago area.

Ignite envisions a world where all young people have the support they need to be defined by their potential, not their circumstances. They offer services ranging from job preparation to housing for young adults experiencing homelessness or those without access to stable housing. Working with over 500 young people each year, they have made a huge impact on the community around them.

Ignite inspired us to get involved with the young adults in Chicago and so once a month we visit, cook, and spend time with the residents. During the COVID-19 pandemic, when we were unable to visit, we were able to continue supporting their important work by sending them supplies and meals to help with the events and programs they were running.
